Yes, the road trip to Leh Ladakh is a very popular trip amongst bikers and riders from Delhi. The trip generally starts from May and lasts up to September. The time, however, varies , depending upon the time when the snow on the high passes melts and the roads are cleared up for approaching Leh. This may change for coming years, with the construction of Atal Tunnel which makes Leh approachable round the year. However, after September, high altitude, snow fall and extremes of temperature plays their own role for these trips to be halted in winters.
There are 2 full circuit trips from Delhi to Leh, one which approaches Leh from Manali and exits from Srinagar and the other which approaches Leh from Srinagar and exits from Manali. The duration for these round trips to Delhi is around 13 days depending upon the itinerary.
