· The Matho Nagrang Festival is an annual event that takes place in the Matho Monastery in Ladakh, India. The festival is celebrated on the 14th and 15th days of the first month of the Tibetan lunar calendar, which usually falls in February or March.
· During the festival, the monks of the Matho Monastery perform the famous "oracular dance," in which they go into a trance and make predictions for the coming year. The dance is accompanied by traditional music and colorful costumes.
· In addition to the oracular dance, there are also other cultural and religious performances and activities during the festival, such as mask dances and traditional prayers. Visitors can also enjoy local food and crafts during the festival.
· It's always a good idea to check with local authorities or tourism offices for the latest information before making travel plans.
